How can I book?

Both a signed contract and a 30% non-refundable retainer are required to save your date. Sometimes couple like to meet before but I feel like that just takes away time that we could be doing more important things, like finding a dress or finalizing catering. We can discuss everything through email, skype, phone call or even text. We are living in an age of instant gratification and time is very valuable and I want to make sure I value your time!

Once I receive the contract and retainer I AM OFFICIALLY ALL YOURS!

How much time is needed in advance to book a session?

As soon as you are ready to start planning a date or already have a date confirmed, we can discuss and make sure the date is still available. Dates are first come first serve and are typically booked 6-9 months in advance. I am also available to book short notice if the date is available.

What are your payment options?

I accept checks, cash, money orders, Venmo and Chase QuickPay. After the non-refundable retainer is paid, the remaining balance is due one week before your wedding or portrait session. The balance can be paid all at one or in equal monthly payments. If you need special payment arrangements, we can discuss and come up with a plan that can work for both you as a couple and myself as a business.

How long until we see our photos?

Engagement and lifestyle sessions usually are delivered 2-3 weeks after your session. Wedding Galleries are usually delivered 6-8 weeks after your big day but I try my best to get them to you within 4-6 weeks.

How many images will I receive?

Every wedding is different and depends on many different factors, including time of coverage. However, I can guarantee anywhere between 45-55 images per hour, edited, in high-resolution and ready for you to print.

What sets me apart from other photographers?

I like to engage with my couples. I want to build relationships to where I capture your real and candid moments and not just posed photographs. I feel posed images call for awkward moments and do not portray who you truly are. I am intentional and love working with couples who are open to go with the flow of the day and trust that all my crazy prompts are a way of capturing the real you! I want to build a relationship with you guys as a couple and not just be a random vendor showing up on your wedding day to take pictures. I want to be able to give you all the feels on your day and also in the future when you revisit these moments.

Weddings can get pretty pricey. Do you offer payment options?

I definitely do! 30% will always be required to save your date, however, the remaining payments can be split up in a way that is most convenient for you two as a couple. I am 100% willing to work with you guys no matter the situation. Photography should always be one of the most important parts of your wedding that you should not compromise cost over. I mean, c’mon, these images will last you a lifetime.

So many couples have shared with me that they had wished that they cut in other places and put that money towards a better photographer. I have spoken to many wedding professionals that have worked in this industry for over 10 years and they ALWAYS advise to prioritize your budget to accomodate a skilled photographer because those images will last a lifetime.

Do you photograph elopements, proposals and/or destination weddings?

Yaaaaaasss!!!! Contact me so we can go over all those details!!!! Travel fees all vary depending on the distance and length of the event.

What is the best way to get a hold of me?

To keep communication consistent, we ask that you contact us via email (hello@thepicturecottage.com). We find that because we are often on the go, important wedding info sent via text or messenger may get lost in the shuffle. and we’d never want to miss an important detail for the big day. I will always try to get back to you within the hour but in the event that I cannot, you will hear back from me before 24 hours for sure. The age of Instant Gratification right?
